Being apart may be harder than some of the Survivor Season 29 contestants thought. How’d they do going head to head in challenges last night, and who went home on last night’s Survivor San Juan Del Sur?
Last night’s Survivor San Juan Del Sur 2014 didn’t start out well for the blue tribe. Jon lost their flint. Everyone knows that fire is life in the game of Survivor!
For the first reward challenge, the Survivor 2014 Blood vs Water contestants had one person from each tribe balance a ball through an obstacle course and then roll three balls into allocated spots. The yellow team chose John, which meant he had to compete against his girlfriend Julie. John’s height was his enemy in the challenge. Every time he had to bend too much, he lost the balance of the ball. Julie finished first, winning the reward of fishing gear and sending John to Exile Island. She also sent Jeremy from her team. Before going back to camp, the tribe bartered for flint. Since they lost their flint, they have offered Jeff their bag of beans for flint. Jeff wasn’t happy and didn’t accept the trade. He said they had to give up the fishing gear they just won. They accepted…will Jon pay for that one?
Back at camp and on Exile Island:
- John Rocker’s team knows who he is and his past racial comments may come back to bite him
- Despite knowing who John is, Jeremy decided to share the clue to the immunity idol with him
Immunity challenge: Sumo style head to head challenge. First to knock the other person off the platform won a point; first team to five won. Notable moments:
- Jon vs John: John Rocker, the bigger of the two was beat out by Jon. He even drew blood!
- Mother vs daughter (Baylor and Missy) struggled to finish when Baylor split her lip on her mom’s head. Missy went easily into the water after that.
- Dale struggled to watch his daughter in her rematch to Jaclyn. Both teams needed the point to win the game, so Dale had to cheer for Jaclyn, despite it being his daughter’s birthday.
The blue team won immunity again. Back at camp Val told people she had two immunity idols and John found one. His plan to save Val, but still flush out an idol was to split the votes and have Val play an idol. Since she didn’t actually have an idol, she couldn’t play one. The votes tied and in the re-vote, Val went home on Survivor San Juan Del Sur last night.
